River Days in Rome Includes Two Spring Walks

Ross to Ridge Trail
Walk along Rome's Rivers on April 19, 2008. Enjoy the scenery and learn about the history of the rivers. Meet at the Rome Area History Museum on Broad St at 10:00 AM. This walk is 2.5 miles one way.
Blacks Bluff Nature Conservancy
On April 26, 2008, come explore this beautiful forest owned by The Nature Conservancy. On this guided hike you will learn flora, fauna and history. Meet at Blacks Bluff Correctional Institute. Vans will transport from there to the Preserve between 9:30 and 10:00 AM. Rated strenuous. For more information: 706-295-5576. Wild About Wildflowers
If you are wild about wildflowers, join us for an easy guided walk with Interpretive Ranger Joshua McKinley on March 29, 2008 at Cloudland Canyon State Park at 12:00. We will meet in the picnic area. Bring your lunch and come early. Enjoy a picnic in the park. The first 20 participants will receive a Walk Across Northwest Georgia t-shirt. The only cost is a $3.00 parking fee.

Fourth Annual Family Fest WalkM

April 19, 2008 will be the Fourth Annual Family Fest Walk in Trenton, Georgia. This easy walk starts at 10:00 AM in Jenkins Park.
