Library Bookstore

Sara Hightower Regional Library's Bookstore has a great selection to choose from and at bargain prices. These are super deals and our titles range from hard to find books to those currently out on the market. Proceeds from the bookstore go directly toward purchasing new materials for the library.Donations can be dropped off during regular library hours. If you need a tax receipt, please count the number of hardbacks, paperbacks, videos, etc. You can usually get the receipt when you drop off your donation.


The Rome-Floyd County Library greatly appreciates donations of clean, salable books, video tapes and DVD’s for the Library Bookstore.

In addition to the Library Bookstore, the Friends of the Library hold an annual book sale in the fall. Please call Micky Sachs-Smith at 706-236-4610 for details. (Thank you for taking well worn or otherwise non-salable books and periodicals to the Rome-Floyd County Recycling Center.)

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library are a part of the library success story. The Friends own and operate the library Gift Shop and hold Semi-annual Booksales raising needed funds to purchase library materials and provide programming that could not be funded through other sources! In 1980, Kiki agreed to host a cooking show for the Library Channel. Kiki and her guest Chef's shared their recipes on camera taking viewers into kitchens around Rome. "Kiki's Kitchen" the television show, was an instant hit and remained so until Kiki's untimely death in December of 1992.
